Gildan Rocks as The Official Merch Partner at Ausmusic T-Shirt Day 2023

It’s not the first time that Gildan Brands has collaborated with Support Act for Ausmusic T-shirt Day. However, this year felt even more special, if that’s possible, as we had the pleasure of being the official merch partner for the 2023 campaign, providing our tees as a blank canvas for the cause.
Ausmusic T-shirt Day is an annual day of fun and awareness to celebrate Aussie music and raise urgently-needed funds for music workers in crisis. So, on Thursday, 30th November 2023, we rocked like never before! The whole Gildan team put on their fave band tee, proudly printed on Gildan, featuring amazing designs of music legends such as Kylie Minogue, John Farnham, Paul Kelly, Nick Cave, Kate Ceberano, Cold Chisel, and more.

We had a fantastic time together, diving into what Ausmusic T-shirt Day stands for and playing a game guessing Aussie music icons while rocking our band tees. It was a celebration of the industry for a meaningful cause. A cause that brought together amazing talent, including ambassadors, sponsors, and partners who helped make it possible, alongside all the people who stood up as well, reaching over $650,000 raised—an impressive new record! All band tees sold on the Ausmusic T-shirt Day website were printed on the Gildan Softstyle 65000 Midweight T-shirt. Made with 100% ring-spun cotton, weighing 183 g/m², and available in various colours and sizes.

The campaign invited music enthusiasts and businesses alike across Australia to engage in three straightforward ways: purchasing a tee, contributing through donations, and/or setting up a team to fundraise. Funds raised from the campaign went towards Support Act, which provides essential assistance to musicians, managers, crew, and music workers facing challenges. These contributions support mental health and well-being programs, such as the Support Act Wellbeing Helpline, Mentally Healthy Workplaces Program, and First Nations support.
In music, every little bit matters, and we’re absolutely proud to have done our bit!
